Prague is a living textbook of architectural styles, showcasing centuries of history through its meticulously restored buildings. The city’s rich blend of styles - from Romanesque and Gothic to Renaissance, Baroque, and Rococo - offers a unique experience for historians, tourists, and architecture enthusiasts alike.
Romanesque architecture features solid piers, round arches, and cross vaults, evolving into Gothic structures with their pointed arches, flying buttresses, and colorful stained glass. Renaissance design brought symmetry and grandeur, while Baroque and Rococo styles introduced dramatic ornamentation and elegance.
Modern influences also left their mark, from ArtNouveau’s intricate floral motifs to Functionalism’s clean lines and High-Tech’s glass and steel.
