An extraordinary experience that will stay in your heart forever

Dear Students and Teachers of BBM 2025,

As we look back on this year’s Bubeníček Ballet Masterclasses, our hearts are filled with immense gratitude and pride. The level you brought to BBM 2025 was truly extraordinary! Your hard work, artistry, and commitment elevated this edition beyond all expectations.

Throughout these days together, we explored the depth and meaning of dance, creating moments that resonated powerfully with audiences and reflected the true spirit of artistic expression. To our students: thank you for your passion, determination, and willingness to grow. Watching you push beyond technique, embrace your individuality, and transform into confident, expressive performers was profoundly inspiring.

To our teachers: your guidance, dedication, and belief in every student shaped this journey. Your influence helped refine not only their technical skills but also their understanding of themselves as artists.

The culmination of our time together—the gala performance—was a shining testament to everything you achieved. Sharing the stage with so many remarkable international stars was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and you rose to the occasion with grace and strength. One of the undeniable highlights was the participation of Tokyo City Ballet, presenting a stunning new piece and dancing alongside our students, creating an unforgettable artistic moment.

This journey was about far more than dance; it was about discovering your own voice, your courage, and your boundless capacity to express. Carry these lessons with you, and let your artistry continue to shine brightly in everything you do.

Thank you for being part of this truly unforgettable year.

PRAGUE - in the stunning ballet studio of the State Opera

Prague proved to be the perfect home for our Bubeníček Ballet Masterclasses 2025, offering participants an inspiring setting in a city rich in history, culture, and artistic beauty. Known as the “City of a Hundred Spires,” Prague’s breathtaking architecture—from Gothic treasures to Art Nouveau masterpieces—created an unforgettable atmosphere for our artistic journey. With its vibrant cultural scene and timeless charm, the city became the ideal place to celebrate ballet and support the next generation of emerging talent.

Over the course of 12 extraordinary days, students had the rare opportunity to work closely with our acclaimed dance teachers, principal dancers, and artists from around the world. These professionals, admired not only for their exceptional skill but also for their warmth and generosity, shared their lifelong dedication to ballet—artists who have illuminated the world’s most prestigious stages with their performances.

The success of this year’s Masterclasses was greatly enriched by the remarkable caliber of our teaching staff. Our instructors were not simply ballet teachers; they were true experts in their field, each holding a Master’s Degree in Dance Pedagogy. Their high level of qualification ensured that every student received outstanding training, thoughtful guidance, and the support needed to grow into their full potential as artists.

BBM 2025 concluded as a resounding success, leaving students, teachers, and audiences deeply moved by the experience and eager for what the future of this inspiring project will bring.

2nd edition of Bubeníček International Ballet Gala

As a special highlight!

On August 16 and 17, 2025 participants of the Bubeníček Ballet Masterclasses had the extraordinary opportunity to share the stage with international balllet stars!

How was 2nd International Ballet Gala?

The 2025 Bubeníček International Ballet Gala concluded as an overwhelming and unforgettable triumph. Both performance nights at the historic Theatre Hybernia were completely sold out, with audiences filling the theatre to experience what became one of Prague’s most remarkable cultural events of the year.

This year’s edition shone not only through its extraordinary artistic standard but also through the exceptional honor of receiving high-level patronage and distinguished guests. The Gala was held under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Mgr. Martin Baxa, and with the Honorary Patronage of the Embassy of Japan in the Czech Republic, as well as Ambassador Andreas Künne of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany. Their support underscored the international significance of the event.

A special moment in the Gala’s history came when doc. MUDr. Bohuslav Svoboda, CSc., the Mayor of Prague, attended the performance in person. His presence, together with the city’s official patronage, elevated the evening and highlighted the event’s importance not only to the dance world but also to the cultural life of the capital.

On stage, the Gala delivered an artistic experience that exceeded all expectations. World-class dancers from leading European and Japanese companies performed alongside selected participants of the Bubeníček Ballet Masterclasses, creating an extraordinary blend of mastery, talent, and youthful passion. One of the evening’s highlights was the participation of Tokyo City Ballet, debuting a stunning new piece and sharing the stage with the students — a moment that moved audiences and critics alike.

The enthusiastic media coverage, glowing critic reviews, and emotional audience reactions all confirmed what was felt inside the theatre:
The 2025 Bubeníček International Ballet Gala was not only a success — it was a milestone.
A celebration of unity, artistry, and the power of dance to bring cultures together.

These two unforgettable nights will long be remembered as a defining chapter in the gala’s growing legacy.
