How to get to the city

33RD SEASON OF FESTIVAL KRUMLOV IS HERE!

This year’s festival theme, Muses Inspiring and Creating, will bring 19 concerts in 13 locations, 3 of them for the first time. We will learn what was behind the creation of great classical works, and the “Muses” of today will also visit Český Krumlov. For the first time in the Czech Republic, a rising star violinist Esther Abrami will perform, and also accordionist Ksenija Sidorová with horn player and conductor Radek BaborákJiří Bubeníček‘s dazzling ballet choreography frames the opening and closing concert.

The festival will celebrate the Year of Czech Music with its main and accompanying program. The program of the Fringe Festival in the Festival Zone will be announced soon.

The International Music Festival

The International Music Festival Český Krumlov was established in 1992 in the most magical city in the world, in Český Krumlov, which is considered a European treasure and belongs to UNESCO World Heritage.

During the 30 years of its existence, the festival has become one of the three biggest classical festivals in the Czech Republic. It has offered 565 concerts and performances, during which almost 13 thousand artists from 40 countries have performed. 

The festival offers 4 weeks of music ranging from the 15th till the 21st century with international stars and venues with unique genius loci.
